As a Software Engineering Leader, I bring a systems-thinking approach to building high-performing teams and organizations. My leadership philosophy centers on creating an environment where empowered, loosely-coupled teams collaborate cohesively to achieve clear outcomes, guided by psychological safety and shared understanding.

Grounded in extensive study and practical experience, I see software engineering as a system supported by three pillars: People, Process, and Technology. True improvement happens only when all three grow in unison. Inspired by DORA research, W. Edwards Deming’s principles, Team Topologies, and Accelerate, I strive to enable fast flow, fast feedback, and a climate for continuous learning.

I’m passionate about fostering cultures of empowerment and creativity, where leaders align teams to common goals and create space for innovation. My work is guided by principles from organizational psychology, The Agile Manifesto, and systems thinking, emphasizing continuous improvement and shared success.

Outside of software, I’m an avid traveler, having explored over 30,000 miles across 35 states in my 5th wheel camper. I’m also a dedicated old-time music enthusiast, blending tradition and creativity as a clawhammer banjo player and teacher.
